Markets weak yesterday, led by Tech heavyweights as stalling US labor market increases pressure for further stimulus agreement.
HOT TOPICS on the fear stimulus is prolonging survival of ‘zombie’ co’s, hampering a rebound. We don’t see it. Those unable to consistently meet interest payments are a low and stable proportion, focused on fast growing and outperforming software and biotech, and supported by changing nature of risk capital. Corporate debt is high and rising, and defaults and bankruptcies also rising fast.
